Let me start out by saying that I am a Tucson native. Been here 44 yrs. Grew up in Oro Valley, went to C.D.O. class of '79. Navy veteran currently working in the airline industry.
I have been married for 24 yrs to the same wonderful gal. We have 2 grown children, one out of the house, one graduated H.S. this past May.
I have many interests. Motorcycling, radio control airplanes, bass guitar, astronomy and generally an airplane guy. I have an A&P license and an FCC license. Working toward my IA. I moved to Rancho Sahuarita almost 3 yrs ago when my work was out of TIA. I like it here. Still kind of quite but I know that is slowly changing.
Mona, if you don't have a problem swating flies, do the same to scorpions, kill 'em. They are a lot more dangerous to children than flies I know but they are considered pests.
Delays, delays, and more delays.
Wait until the Boeing 787 Dreamliner comes out. This thing looks like a display switching nightmare.
Can anyone say: Computer reset?
Hey Mona, check this out.
I laughed and thought about your father-in-law.

Take care.
How'd you guess?
"0 comments", all I'm saying is, the airline industry has been taking it in the shorts for the past 5 years.
Direct mention of an airline in this context is not good P.R. None of them need feedback like this. Even in blogs.
By the way, AWA doesn't exist anymore. They probably haven't changed the signage yet in TUS. If he flew down on the smaller jet, it would have been a lesser know, smaller airline. Its an airline that uses AWA's name and fly's the Regional Jets. Make sure if you file a complaint to the Feds, you mention the correct airline.
I'm glad his luggage made it, I knew it would. This airline isn't bad.
C'mon, I can hardly believe the "toothbrush" comment. You make it sound as if airline employees are all ignorant a-holes. I seriously doubt that.
I'm glad he made it here safely and I'm sure his luggage will arrive soon.
Very beautiful. The only thing I would like to forget is the 30 MPH speed limit on Rancho S. boulevard. Too slow and very enticing for the Revenue Generating Agents that normally sit right around there!
Andrew, my pride and joy here is a completely original, 100%, 1981 Harley-Davidson "Sturgis" model FXB. Harley only made these for 3 years, '80-'82. Its a "Shovelhead". It is unique because it has a belt for both the primary drive, from the engine to the transmission, and the final drive, tranny to rear wheel. New at the time.
In 1991 they came out with another one but with the "Evolution" engine.
I now have the "Historic Motorcycle" copper plates on her. These are very collectable and rare.
Thanks for asking and it makes a great photo subject!
