The poppies have been pollinated and the seed pods are sprouting from the centers of the flowers. Poppy season is coming to an end. Sob.

I bought a packet at Tohono Chul last year, scattered them in some caliche behind my house in about Nov-Dec, watered just occasionally during the winter and got a nice crop. Joan G. - 28 weeks ago

Another thought is to gather the seeds from this year's crop of poppies and other flowers. But, don't sow all of them. Save some for other years. It may take a few years for some seeds to germinate. Doris E. - 28 weeks ago
