Great shot Margie! How far away were you to get this nice closeup? What's your secret. I've never had much luck with these beautiful creatures.

Equipment helps..I have a 500D close up lens I put on my 70-200...then he just happened to show up while I was looking at another creature, so I switched subjects :) Thanks Dennis!!

So..that means I was a bit less than a foot away...I was VERY quiet..

Wow, I love the colors! Great shot with perfect clarity and I love the soft background. Well done, it is not easy to catch them.

This is REALLY good Margie. The blue damselfly against that green background makes a striking image...wonderful colors and detail. Aside from the bird populations, Sweetwater supports a nice mix of wildlife. I spotted a bobcat Sunday morning on my way out.
