Bruce Weitz, left, and Richard Herd are shown on Oct. 16, 1982, at a press conference before they attended the event at Park Mall. Hooker," criticized a program by then-President Ronald Reagan establishing federal narcotics task forces. Weitz called it a "token gesture." The men donated their time and spent two days signing autographs and talking with children about crime prevention.
