ORLANDO, Fla. — The wife of world No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods used one of his tools — a golf club — to smash open a window of his crashed SUV and then pull him out of the damaged vehicle after an early-morning accident Friday outside their Isleworth mansion.

With what has been reported so far and the fact that his wife would not "wake him" to be interviewed like they would demand if it were you or I this does, as of yet, PASS the smell test.
The news just said something about "cuts on his wrist" hum.

Not to worry...the Obama protection program at the rescue(media). What we think or assume, what we believe or know, is irrelevant. What the Obama protection program reports is what we should believe and that is that! Believe otherwise and you will be reported to a White House website for appropriate action taken.

#5 Thanks for the link.
This bit from the TMZ story doens't make sense:
We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.
How can a vehicle be stopped and then hit a fire hydrang and a tree?

Please, people.
Who hasn't hit a fire hydrant in their 2009 Cadillac at 225 am and been rescued by their wife with a golf club in front of their 2.4 million dollar mansion?

Read it again. He only THOUGHT the Escalade was stopped. Maybe because it was moving no faster than his wife, whom he was watching in the mirror chase him down the street.

Like everyone else, I don't know what happened, but like everyone else, I have a theory. The article mentioned that he has difficulty sleeping. There have been numerous reports of people doing weird things in their sleep when taking the new raft of sleeping pills, including Ambien and Lunesta. From the NY Times "unusual reactions ranging from fairly benign sleepwalking episodes to hallucinations, violent outbursts, nocturnal binge eating and — most troubling of all — driving while asleep." The FDA put out a warning about 2 years ago. Who knows? It would account for the erratic driving behavior as well as the time of night the event happened.

I'm a huge Tiger fan, but his reluctance to talk about it makes me wonder. If he did doink the gold digger in NY, I'll be disappointed. Very little dirt on Tiger, but this could be a doozy.

Woods hurt in bizarre car accident
ORLANDO, Fla. — The wife of world No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods used one of his tools — a golf club — to smash open a window of his crashed SUV and then pull him out of the damaged vehicle after an early-morning accident Friday outside their Isleworth mansion.Seems obvious to me.
He was leaving to go hike the Appalachian Trail.

TMZ is right on top of the story, Bob S #3.
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
At least that makes more sense than trying to rescue him through the rear window.

There cannot be an innocent explanation for this incident, but I'm sure we'll hear plenty of gallant attempts.
