Fans may hate him but Kyle Busch is just so darn good

Kyle Busch became the most hated man in Junior Nation last week for taking out Dale Earnhardt Jr. and this week he came back from a pit-road penalty to win at Darlington Raceway.
Between the Truck series, the Nationwide series and the Cup series, he has won eight races this season.
He became the youngest driver to ever win at Darlington and I think Jeff Gordon’s “youngest NASCAR Cup champion in the modern era” title might be in jeopardy.
That’s a nice way to keep the haters hatin,’ kid.
After the race he said, “I’m here to race. I’m here to win. If I win, it just makes ‘em more upset and cry on their way home.”
Say what you will about him but I gotta love that kind of “I don’t give a flyin’ flip about anything but winning” kind of attitude.
I still think he’s a brat but I respect a man who’s honest and speaks his mind…and isn’t intimidated by Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s rabid fans.
Tony Stewart was taken out early on Lap 3 by Elliott Sadler but came back to finish 21st.
If the Chase started next week, David Ragan would be in. Say whaaaa?
But it doesn’t start next week so…
Jeff Gordon jumped three spots from 13th to 10th with a third-place finish but said after the race, “I wish I wasn’t so darn competitive because you have no idea how happy I am that we have a top-5 and that we’re third and how frustrated I am at how far off we are from winning races right now.”
Guess that 24 team still has a lot of work to do.
Matt Kenseth rebounded from three straight horrible performances and picked up a sixth-place finish.
Raise your hand if you’d forgotten that Dave Blaney existed?
What in the world was he doing finishing 9th?
And Travis Kvapil was 8th.
I like it when the top-10 isn’t filled with the usual suspects.
After the wild practice sessions and last night’s Nationwide race that left 20 cars in the garage, I assumed tonight’s race was going to be a crash fest.
It surprisingly wasn’t.
There was a lot of bouncing off the wall but most of the drivers were able to continue and only two guys – Patrick Carpentier and Greg Biffle – weren’t running at the end.
So what was the difference between last night and tonight? The new car?
Busch did the impossible, according to what DW was saying during the race. You have to like a driver who can do that, while leaving Jaws incredulous.
The Sprint Cup car is tough, and Kyle Busch proved it.
That was Kurt. He was only here for one year in 1997 when the Wildcats won the NCAA Tournament which is why he picked 97 as his car number when he first started in the Cup series.
I LOVE Kyle Busch, the kid cracks me up. He may get more boos than cheers, but there are people out there cheering for him and I’m one of them.

Is it Kyle or Kurt Busch that went to the UofA?
