Caliente Contest
This week's Spotlight focuses on the Austin, Texas-based rock band White Denim, which is scheduled to play Club Congress Saturday.
White Denim's lead singer is James Petralli, whose father is former major league catcher Geno Petralli.
Geno Petralli played 12 seasons for the Rangers and Blue Jays.
Petralli led all of baseball in passed balls with 35 in 1987, 20 in 1988, and 20 in 1990. His 35 passed balls established a Major League single-season record.
Most of Petralli's past balls occurred when he was catching a famous knuckleball pitcher.
For a chance to win an audio book tell us the name of that knuckleballer, who pitched until he was 46 years old.

Coachella paints the desert green

Trends. How do I hate thee? I cannot begin to count the ways.
Dirty-and-faded-on-purpose jeans. Rap rock. Catty T-shirt slogans. Sanjaya’s hair. But SXSW and Coachella are leading the way with a trend that I can actually get on board with – environmentally-conscious music festivals.
Coachella has come up with a few genius ideas in order to give fest-goers incentive to reduce their negative environmental impact.
Carpoolers who have a load of at least 4 people (and a sign that says “Carpoolchella” on their dash) have the chance to win free Coachella tickets for life. And I love this one – anyone who brings 10 empty bottles to a vendor gets a free bottle of water.
It gets points not only for being pro-recycle, but also for employing spectators as cleanup crew. On top of that, at a festival that is nestled in the rather toasty Mojave Desert, a free bottle of precious water is most welcome.
But wait…there’s more! Behold – an energy station where you can ride a stationary bike to recharge your cell phone, enjoy food from an ethanol-powered BBQ (the proceeds go to an environmental charity) while gasping in amazement at the “wind- and solar-powered installations,” all while rocking out to a biodiesel-powered DJ station.
And then, of course, you will drive home in your trendy Escalade.
