Last week, Michael Jackson, "The
King of Pop," died after suffering
cardiac arrest. He was 50, and
preparing start a series of
comeback concerts.

Jackson's musical
accomplishments were many,
including the hits "Bad," "Billie
Jean," "Thriller" and "Shake Your
Body (Down to the Ground)." His
1982 album "Thriller" is the
best-selling album of all time.

He collaborated with Paul
McCartney, Quincey Jones, and
his sister, Janet Jackson.

He invented the moonwalk.

And while his behavior later in life
was bizarre, we prefer to focus
on the positives, like Jackson's
music, and his charity work.

In one instance, the two
overlapped. Jackson co-wrote the
charity single "We Are the
World," which was released
worldwide to aid the poor in
Africa and the United States.

Tell us who co-wrote the song for
a chance to win an audio book.

'American Idol' - Chris Sligh-ted

03/28/2007 10:59 PM
aching

It was inevitable – Chris Sligh, who did alright on a few numbers but sucked pretty hard on “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” last night, got the boot on “Idol” tonight.

He seemed like a good candidate to be this season’s underdog, but of course a bushy-haired juggernaut by the name of Sanjaya stopped that in its tracks. You’d think Sligh would have the chubby person vote (surely a formidable bloc of “Idol” voters) and the evangelical Christian vote (he went to Bob Jones University, natch), but even those folks have been swept up by Sanjaya fever.

On a side note, Gwen Stefani is apparently a foot taller than Ryan Seacrest.

  1. SANJAYA NEEDS TO GO NOW. IT IS SO PAINFUL TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO HIM. I THINK HE IS DISGUSTING AND SHOULD NOT BE IN ANY SINGING COMPETITION.
