Last week, Michael Jackson, "The
King of Pop," died after suffering
cardiac arrest. He was 50, and
preparing start a series of
comeback concerts.

Jackson's musical
accomplishments were many,
including the hits "Bad," "Billie
Jean," "Thriller" and "Shake Your
Body (Down to the Ground)." His
1982 album "Thriller" is the
best-selling album of all time.

He collaborated with Paul
McCartney, Quincey Jones, and
his sister, Janet Jackson.

He invented the moonwalk.

And while his behavior later in life
was bizarre, we prefer to focus
on the positives, like Jackson's
music, and his charity work.

In one instance, the two
overlapped. Jackson co-wrote the
charity single "We Are the
World," which was released
worldwide to aid the poor in
Africa and the United States.

Tell us who co-wrote the song for
a chance to win an audio book.

'Desperate Houewives' -- Revenge is a dish best ...

Tonight’s episode was about revenge. It even snuck in Iago’s betrayal in “Othello” for some literary cred.

Remember when we thought Andrew was evil incarnate when he had sex with Bree’s AA sponsor, who happened to be a sexaholic?

Good times.

Now, it’s Danielle who’s taken over as the bad seed after Bree walked in on Danielle and her history teacher having sex in a motel room. Danielle wasn’t going to succumb easily. She channeled “American Beauty” and threw a plate against the wall, then tried to stage a suicide—by cutting her wrists with a spoon and taking only three sedatives.

Apparently, Orson has suicide in his past, because he lashed out at Andrew (who still looks like he’s living out of that box on the street, by the way) when Andrew made one too many jokes about Danielle’s attempt.

But Bree was going to have the last laugh, or so she thought. Bree pulled reverse psychology on Danielle’s lover by insinuating that Danielle move in with him. The teacher backed down and said he’d break it off with Danielle, provided he never mention he had a talk with Bree.

After the break-up, Danielle put the cherry on top of this messy sundae by getting the teacher fired and told his ex-wife. Orson noted it was an underhanded move, and as she tied the string around that beautiful cornish hen, Bree wondered aloud, “I wonder where she gets it from.”

The battle royale between Gabrielle and Carlos stepped up a notch, as Carlos and Gaby both brought dates home and dangled them in front of their respective exes. Gaby even did the old bang-the-bed-against-the-wall to simulate pretend sex. Since it didn’t piss off Carlos, she actually had anonymous sex with someone. That did the trick.

Nicollete Sheridan has to be happy these days. Because she’s now the apple of Mike’s life, she has a bigger presence on the show than ever. And I can’t imagine that wearing short shorts and size-1 tops has any effect on Mike. I’m sure he likes Edie for what’s on the inside. Hmmm. What is on the inside? I don’t think many people can get past the push-up bras and midriffs to get to know her.

Speaking of Mike, the cops found a phone number on the back of the mysterious woman’s hand. Turns out it was Mike’s phone number. Don’t know how it’ll lead to Orson, but I’m sure the writers have it all planned out.

Lynette’s storyline was a little boring—until Nora turned on Lynette and told Tom that his idea of opening a pizza parlor was great. But … she told Lynette earlier that it was a bad idea! Why would she change her mind? Oh, yeah. She’s trying to break up the only happy couple on Wisteria Lane. I think there might be a massive Lynette/Nora showdown on November sweeps, but sadly, I imagine Nora will still be on the show throughout the season.

“Desperate Housewives” airs at 8 Sundays on ABC.
