I just got off a conference call with Heidi Klum. She’s pretty much same on the telephone as she is in person … which is to say, pretty nice, but not terribly exciting. She doesn’t have the level of personality of say, a Santino.

She didn’t reveal much about the upcoming season … basically, she avoided any questions about it and focused and talking up the previous two seasons, I’m guessing because they just came out on DVD. She did talk about her stupid jewelry line, though. Does anyone like that stuff? (Although that clover pendant she wore all the time kind of rocked. But seriously … clover pendant AND earrings? Everyday?)

I wanted to ask her why she broke Jay’s heart by not wearing that beautiful, beautiful dress he made for her, but another reporter beat me to it. Basically Heidi said, “It was ugly, and I don’t feel bad for going with another designer.” (She didn’t say “ugly.” She said, “I have pictures. Maybe I should show them to people. But I don’t think I want to be that mean to him.) Which … harsh, but I see where she’s coming from.

Season 3 of “Project Runway” premieres July 12.
