And she announces so a day after Barack Obama loses the New Hampshire primary?
Hmmm…
Well, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano’s mention Wednesday that she will endorse in the presidential election is fueling major buzz about just which Dem will get her nod prior to our Feb. 5 primary election.
And right now that buzz, from Tucson to Phoenix, is pointing heavily toward Obama rather than his archrival Hillary Clinton.
Granted, the endorsement might defy conventional wisdom. As a woman, you might assume that Napolitano would gravitate towards Clinton. But the results of the Iowa caucus, where Obama pulled in more female voters than Clinton, illustrated that for many women gender isn’t everything.
And considering Bill Clinton appointed Napolitano as a U.S. Attorney for Arizona in the 90s, you might think she owes it to the power couple.
Well, just ask John Kerry, who picked Obama over former runningmate John Edwards today, about such loyalty.
We’re hearing that Napolitano will join the list of Obama supporters very, very soon—maybe even Friday. That would place it just in time to help impact Nevada’s Jan. 19 caucus.
Minor nitpick: Napolitano was a U.S. Attorney (for the district of Arizona) rather than the U.S. Attorney General.

Does it bother you that only isolated media sources are printing or reporting (with any substantial context) what the candidates are saying about issues? Isnt the discussion of issues the essence of democracy, and isnt its absence the essence of a people governed by propaganda? And the distractions from this reality are enourmous.

“Democracy is not something you believe in or a place to hang your hat, but it’s something you do. You participate. If you stop doing it, democracy crumbles.”
-Abbie Hoffman
I want to know where people go to get real news and sustenance in these days of media mediocrity and misinformation.
