I guess Mutt Lange isn't 'still the one' for Shania anymore

Shania Twain and Robert “Mutt” Lange seemed like they had one of those celebrity marriages that was really going to last.
They stayed out of the spotlight. They moved to Switzerland to have a quiet life for their son, Eja. Mutt shyed away from attention even more than Shania and is rarely photographed in public.
They were an odd couple – a country beauty with a metal/rock producer – that made it work for 14 years.
They also wrote great music together.
And now it’s all ending and so is my belief in love.
Her spokesperson, Jason Owen, said in a statement to People magazine, “Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”
This came out of nowhere and I am shocked by the news.
But one of the first things that came to mind is how do they split up all that money?
He was already über-rich when they wed – after only knowing each other for six months – and now she’s über-rich, too, and he’s even richer.
Who gets the Swiss castle?
At least they got one more album out of the union. Shania is set to release a new CD this year.
Do any celebrity marriages last anymore?
Hardly. But when I need to restore my faith in Hollywood couples I just think of the king and queen…
Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman – married in 1958 and still together. Beautiful.
