The “Gas Hole” documentary about the history of oil prices and alternative fuels is showing Friday at the Fox Theatre.
The showing is part of a national tour for the film, and we’re the fifth stop.
The film was made to look at the country’s dependance on foreign oil and the future of alternative fuels. In a day where fuel and food prices are skyrocketing, it’s a timely feature.
The showing is part of a national fundraiser for the Clean Cities Coalition. Proceeds from the film’s showings all over the country will benefit the local Clean Cities Coalition. Ours is run by the Pima Association of Governments.
The show at the Fox Theatre Downtown begins at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30. It’s $15 per person, Students, seniors and military personnel can pay $10. For a little something extra, you could pay $25 per person to attend the show and a Q&A with the producers afterwards.
Star transportation reporter Andrea Kelly will use this space to post daily updates on I-10 lane and exit closures, as well as other snarl-inducing road work and closures.
