Kennedy Motor Home Service was expelled on June 15, and Cooper Pools and Pool Genie on July 20.
The BBB did not receive responses from Kennedy Motor Home Service to two complaints. The BBB also did not receive a response from Cooper Pools to one complaint. Pool Genie failed to resolve two complaints.
According to BBB membership standards, a company must promptly respond to and make a good faith effort to resolve all complaints in accordance with generally accepted good business practices.
Each company was given more than one opportunity to respond to complaints and to written communications from the Better Business Bureau that its membership was being suspended.
The companies were then informed in writing of the board’s decision to revoke and given the opportunity to have a representative present during the board meeting its membership was voted on. None of the companies sent a representative. The expulsions became effective after 30 days, during which the companies did not appeal the board’s decision.
