Larry Aldrich has joined UPH as senior vice president of operations and general counsel. Aldrich has played numerous roles on the local business scene. He was president and CEO of Tucson Newspapers, general partner in a venture capital firm, called Valley Ventures, and helped form the new regional economic development agency, Tucson Regional Opportunities Inc.
Most recently he was chief operating officer at the Critical Path Institute. That position, Aldrich said, he considered temporary to help C-Path start up. He remains on the board of directors.
Jean M. Tkachyk, who already was a top executive at UPH, now has the title senior vice president and chief financial officer.
We reported May 15 that UPH had hired Virginia “Ginger” Campbell as the new CEO of UPH’s Kino hospital.
UPH ranked 25th in this year’s Star 200 with 1,904 full-time equivalent employees. They include doctors at the UA College of Medicine and staff at UPH’s Kino hospital.
