Attention job seekers: Forget the new nylons or tie for that job interview, you may need the money for parking.
Jobing Dot com is holding another job fair at the Tucson Convention Center today (Wednesday Aug. 19, 2-6 p.m.). It’s free, but the parking at the TCC sure isn’t. The City Council approved a hike from $5 to $6 for parking in the TCC lots earlier this summer and TCC officials say it’s in effect everyday, not just for special events. It just seems a lot worse for some events than others.
A TCC spokeswoman said some event organizers include parking for participants in their costs or registration fees.

They need to make parking free for the job fair. People that are coming to look for a job don’t have money to spend on parking.
