Michael Conway of the Arizona Geological Survey wrote after seeing today’s (Wednesday, May 27, 2009) article in the Arizona Daily Star about Arizona Gold Adventures’ prospecting tour business.
He offered a list of publications, available through a Web link, his organization has put together for people interested in gold prospecting. (You can also find a treasure chest of geological stuff at the agency’s home page, www.azgs.az.gov).
“Over the past eight months we received so many requests for information that we scanned some of our best gold literature, produced over the past 100 years, and made them available on the web,” Conway said.
“Since uploading the texts/maps in January 2009, PDF downloads of gold publications from our “Gold Prospecting” site have numbered nearly 15,000.
