Closed bank speaks from the grave

07/29/2008 02:35 PM
Tim Steller

Here’s a coincidence. First National Bank of Arizona was closed by federal regulators late Friday, but we ran this ad Sunday on the last page of the business section. (The explanation: ads are placed on the Sunday pages several days in advance, and we didn’t see that it was a FNBA ad late Friday). Anyway, I wonder if Mutual of Omaha Bank is honoring these deals…I have a call in, but they haven’t responded yet.

  1. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, especially in these tough times for Lee Publishing.
