Lute Olson's home on the market

University of Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson and his ex-wife, Christine Toretti, have put their multimillion-dollar Catalina Foothills home on the market.

The nearly 8,000-square-foot house on East Finisterra Drive is listed at $4.1 million in the Tucson Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service. It is described as a “stunning Mediterranean masterpiece” in the listing.

Olson and his wife filed for divorce late last year.

A Long Realty agent handling the listing, Merle Martinovich, declined to comment, saying she would prefer to consult with her client before discussing the listing.

Update
Here’s a link to the MLS listing.

    It’s stunning, really.

  2. I am under the impression this is the home Lute and Bobbi lived in, as it was reported earlier that Lute and his second wife build a home in the Tanque Verde area.

  3. I bet Greg Hansen would think it’s ugly

  4. I was under the impression it’s been on the market for awhile now. This doesn’t seem like much of an “update.”

  5. Confused, the update they’re referring to is the link to the listing.

  6. Wow, that is a lot of concrete. I hate it. Needs more green and dirt.

  7. I find it appalling that a basketball coach can afford such a home! There are many, many of us staff members who make less than $20K! All of the lay offs that have occurred during this most recent round of budget cuts are staff members! Have they attempted to cut the salaries of overpaid coaches?! This is horrifying!

  8. I don’t think that the link is to the right house. The price is wrong… 2.095 mil not 4 Mil…

  9. I plead “unfair”. The real estate market is very slow right now. Is the STAR going to give all of the sellers and all of the realtors a free ad like that for all of their listings? If not, this preferential free advertising is wrong, wrong, wrong.

  10. This is Lute and Christine’s house. It’s been on the market since March or April, what a scoop. And if people are jealous of someone who makes so much money, your Dr does, stockbrocker etc. That’s life, further your education, spend 40-50 years in your profession and you can make more than $20 grand. I wouldn’t want to try and live on that either, good luck.

  11. One should not imply that because someone has a low paying job they are uneducated. I am very well educated, come from an educated family, etc. I am not jealous that he makes so much money. My point was, why spend so much money on a basketball coach instead of paying for other jobs that actually have some impact. There are far better ways to spend his large salary than have him cater to spoiled boys who chase a ball around a court!
