Hispanic Business magazine has named the UA’s law and medical schools among the top ten best graduate programs in the country.
The magazine ranked the James E. Rogers College of Law as the fourth best law school in the nation for Hispanic students, moving it up five spots from its ranking last year.
The UA’s College of Medicine squeaked into the top ten best medical schools for Hispanic students this year as well, jumping two spots from last year to finish in ninth place, according to a UA news release.
According to the release, the magazine “used five distinct variables in ranking the graduate programs – including the number and percentage of Hispanic students and faculty, the programs and services geared toward recruiting and mentoring Hispanic students, the student retention rate and the school’s standing in U.S. News and World Report rankings.”

Hi, Aaron!
Where were you and others like me when the new Lowe’s Big Box store was being built? They destroyed many mature Maple and others bordering Kolb and Speedway. These were healthy attributes to the area. I promised myself never to shop there because of their blatant stupidity and disregard for our environment. Too bad that your article on trees cooling parking lots wasn’t printed sooner. L. Himebaugh
