The annual Country Fair White Elephant Days begins Thursday with a “midnight madness” sale from 3 to 6 p.m. at the store at 601 N. La Cañada Drive.
Fair organizers hope to raise about $1.4 million from the sale for local charitable causes, said Judy Barkley, chairwoman of the Country Fair White Elephant Parade.
Shops at the Green Valley Mall and elsewhere around town will participate in the three-day event with sales and other activities, Barkley said.
The fair will conclude Saturday with the parade, she said. The parade, with more than 100 entries, will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of West Esperanza Boulevard and South La Canada Drive.
