Please join us on August 13th at Philosophy @ the Lake for a fascinating conversation on “Art and Life”.
What would life be like without art and beauty? How does art impact us every day? How does one create art and things of beauty in their own life? These questions and more will be discussed at Philosophy @ the Lake: Art and Life on Monday, August 13th. Participate in an informal philosophical discussion around “Art and Life” lead by local filmmakers Anna and Scott Griessel.
We'll meet at the south end of the Sahuarita Lake on the grass. Bring a lawn chair, if you can. We’ll gather at 6:30 pm for about an hour and a half. Questions: Contact anna@creatista.com.
Last month 17 people met for a wonderful sharing experience on Consumerism.
Philosophy @ the Lake is an outreach service of The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, a progressive Christian community. www.thegoodshepherducc.org
I'm leading the discussion and I'm more interested in the philosophical side of the discussion. I personally fell that there is no separation between art and life and that life is art. So that's sort of where I'm going to take it. I hope that you'll stop by, it was a very good group last month. We discussed consumerism.
Anna,
Thanks for your posting, engaging topic.
Just a question: since it is a church sponsored event, does that mean that it will talk about art and life AND religion too?
Thanks!
