SALAAM SAHUARITA: Exercising at Ladies Workout Express
Mona Darwich-Gatto 131 weeks ago

I joined this past Friday the “Ladies Workout Express,” and today it was my first day exercising there. The concept is to exercise for 30 minutes through 24 different stations, mostly working with hydraulic equipment that works against the resistance applied by one’s body. The workout claims to guarantee “no plateau,” because every time we work out, the resistance from the equipment is changed.

When I walked in, I thought this will be a piece of cake. From one machine to the next, I could feel my heart race and break out a sweat. One equipment in particular makes me feel as if I am pulling a horse’s cart, it works me out! But again, that is why I am there, to sweat. The workout in each machine is timed, in between music, by a voice that comes from the loudspeakers saying that is time to change my location in the circuit.

The location has cubicles to put my stuff like a water bottle, car keys and my cellular phone. There is plenty of parking and the staff is friendly, I walked in and they already know my name on my first day, like family! The staff is like cheerleaders, telling us the right way to work out and always asking if we are feeling good. While working out, there were at least three more members signed up by the time I was done. I can tell this business is growing and I am happy for the owners.

If you are thinking in checking it out, it is located by Safeway on Duval Mine Road and allow 30 minutes for the staff to talk to you about the workout and the membership costs. If you like, make an appointment. They are open Monday through Friday, 6 am-1:30pm then 3pm-7:30pm, Saturdays are open from 7am-noon and Sundays are closed. You can also check online at www.ladiesworkoutexpress.com
Remember, it is a women’s only gym.
