The Friends of the Oro Valley Public Library Fall Book Sale will be held at the Oro Valley Library, 1305 W. Naranja Dr., on October 24, 25, 26, 27. There will be more than 20,000 books including such categories as: Art, Children, History, Humor, Literature, Mystery, Romance, Southwest, Sports, and more. Many rare and collectible books are included as well! Most books are priced at $.50 to $3.00, and others are individually priced. In addition, we have CDs, DVDs, videos, records, and audio books.

Come and bring a friend! For additional information, contact the Friends Book Shoppe at (520) 229-5326. All proceeds benefit the Oro Valley Public Library in a variety of ways. In the past the following have been accomplished:
*Shelving for the Paperback Collection
*In the teen zone, dollars from the Friends bought chairs, a TV, tables, lounge chairs, a desk and chairs for the staff and the Teen Zone sign.
*In the children’s room dollars from the Friends bought chairs, shelves, and the information desk.
*Purchase of additional computers to replace original ones that no longer work.
*Purchase of laptops.
*Purchase of four additional computers to the *Children’s Room inventory.
*Dollars from the Friends will help to set up the future computer classroom.
*Help to sponsor the Book Festival with authors, vendors, and special programs attended by 3000 people.
*Support for Teen Advisory Board activities.
*Help to sponsor the Teen Zone movie time programs.
*Provide scholarship applications workshops for students and their parents.
*Pajama Story Time for the under age five set which provides a quiet and relaxing special event for parent and child once a quarter.
