WELCOME TO NORTHWEST.AZSTARNET.COM
Margo Hernandez 108 weeks ago

We at the Arizona Daily Star are happy to announce a new Web site for residents of the Northwest Side.

Northwest.azstarnet.com is a user-friendly, family friendly forum where you can upload your photos, write your own blogs and post your own news. Registration is simple and quick.

As you can see, this is a picture-heavy site and we want it to reflect life on the Northwest Side as you see it. Did your son and his girlfriend just announce their engagement? Do you have an athlete or a dancer in the family? Does your organization suffer from lack of recognition? Are you an amateur photographer with a need to share? Maybe your students just completed a project that deserves recognition.

You can tell us – and show us on this site. Loading photos is as simple as clicking a couple of times on the photo gallery. Posting news and blogs is equally simple.

As of today, we have convinced a couple of people to blog and you will see them often in the blog space.

One is Dr. Bob Oro, a dentist, child advocate and astute observer of life on the Northwest Side. And yes, he does live in Oro Valley. Read his blog “Enjoy the Journey, Bob” to find out a little more about him.

Another is Bill Critch, a resident of Sun City Vistoso and veteran blogger who will write mostly about economics and aviation.

There’s room for lots more.

The site includes all of the news and photos collected by the staff of the Northwest section working from the offices at the corner of West Ina Road and Camino de la Tierra. Today, in fact, the section includes the fun and informational “Best of the Northwest.”

We work here and many of us call the Northwest Side home. But we know events and information sometimes fall through the cracks.

We’re proud of the site because it’s attractive and designed to make interaction easy. We hope you find it fun and useful.

My name is Margo Hernandez and I am editor of northwest.azstarnet.com. Feel free to contact me at mhernandez@azstarnet.com if you have questions.
