Yesterday I told you how to add a photo and bio to your profile - today I'm going to explain a cool feature on your profile page called the vanity URL.

HOW DO I GIVE MYSELF A VANITY URL (AND WHAT THE HECK IS IT?)?
The Vanity URL personalizes your profile so that the Web address (aka URL) of your page, instead of being something generic like http://www.sahuaritastar.com/profiles/20050493, will be something specific like http://www.sahuaritastar.com/profiles/asatter (which is my URL, for example. Go ahead, click the link and you will go to my profile).

To get a Vanity URL, first you need to go to your profile page. You can get to your profile by simply clicking the ‘PROFILE’ link on the top navigation, just to the right of the ‘CALENDAR’ link. NOTE: This is only for registered users. None registered users will be asked to register here.

Once you are on your profile, scroll to the bottom and you will see a box that asks you if you want to register a vanity URL. Type the identity you want in your URL and, if it’s available, click ‘Register’. Voila, you have your own personalized page on SahuaritaStar.com.
