Sahuarita is getting a new fitness club. Guys move aside. This one is just for the Ladies. The wife of an acquaintance I work with is actually one of the owners so I thought it would be neat to check it out and here is what I discovered.

Sahuarita’s first “Ladies only” fitness facility is slated to open next week at the Safeway Shopping Center on Duval Mine Road in Sahuarita. The opening of Ladies Workout Express is the culmination of two young entrepreneurs and Sahuarita residents who saw a real need for a fitness facility of this type in the Sahuarita area.

Owners Denise Romero, 31 and Alicia Martinez, 25 are both goods friends and both have been in the fitness community for many years. “I’ve been a member of different fitness facilities for over six years.” says Romero. “From Co-ed Gyms to Ladies Gyms, I’ve been to most of them and I have seen first-hand some of the issues and problems that Ladies can face in the fitness club environment.”

With this in mind, the two friends decided to search for a fitness franchise concept that would create an environment for women to feel comfortable in and allow them to get results fast. After some searching around the country and the internet, they both discovered that “Ladies Workout Express” fit the bill.

“We wanted a fitness facility for “Ladies Only” that had fewer restrictions than other places but still allowed fast results-in the least amount of time.” comments Romero.
“Our system provides circuit training for women at any level of fitness who are looking to either lose weight, or just get fit and stay in shape. It is also designed to provide a workout which will allow maximum results in about thirty minutes.”

In business since 1984, the “Ladies Workout Express” franchise has serviced over 1,000,000 members in over 600 locations world-wide. This is the first “Ladies Workout Express” to be opened in the Sahuarita area and the two friends are optimistic that it will succeed.

Says Romero, “The residents here in Sahuarita are community-oriented and it’s a very friendly place to live. We look forward to meeting new faces and helping everyone from working moms; to retirees achieve their fitness goals.”

Ladies Workout express is located at 1325 W. Duval Mine Road in the Safeway Shopping Center.
